Between January and March 2008, several talented members of the Young Actors Company wrote their own play based around local heritage at the Cambridge & County Folk Museum, which was performed at Cambridge's historic Round Church from April 1st-April 4th.

Under local director Holly Race, these young actors transported the audience to the fictional fenland village of Little Ditchford. Incorporating true stories and folklore from historic Cambridgeshire, they brought to life Elizabeth Woodcock, a woman trapped alive under snow for eight days, and Squire Butler, an old man who entertained his guests from inside his coffin, to name but two examples. Accompanied by spectacular lighting and costumes, and generously supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, this was a unique and exciting production for Horseshoe.
